Some Upcoming and Noteworthy Beer Dinners
I've noticed that Colorado Springs loves beer dinners. We've attended quite a few over the last year and perhaps there are three important rules I've noticed for beer dinners: 1 - Good beer and good cheese can make an extraordinary pairing and also makes a perfect first course. 2 - Beer mixed with fruit juice can make for the best mimosas. 3 - People are quieter at the beginning of the dinner but by the end of dinner everyone is friends with everyone and no one wants to go home.
With that in mind, I'd like to mention a few upcoming beer dinners that I believe deserve your attention.

On July 18th, Blue Star will host a beer dinner involving Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, a renowned brewery in Michigan that practices wild-fermentation. Isaac and I sat in on the tasting panel for this dinner and we helped create a wonderful line up of seven Jolly Pumpkin Beers.
On July 25th, Blue Star will then hold a Firestone Walker beer dinner, they'll have some special offerings and there's a major secret that I'm not allowed to disclose quite yet.
Another Pint recently went through some hard times and scaled back on some of the things they were doing. I'm happy to say that they are just about fully back into the swing of things and they should really have things up and at em again for this dinner. Show them your support by heading out to this dinner. Oskar Blues will provide their full lineup of beers and they will also have a Barrel-Aged Ten-Fidy. Some of the food will come from the Oskar Blues Hops and Heifers Farm, so you can expect fantastic local product here.
Another Pint just did their first beer dinner in 3 months, this time food was prepared with Maui Brewing from Hawaii. This was perhaps the best beer dinner I've had at Another Pint and it really felt like a great re-introduction of this series. Many of the beers had tropical fruit and were paired with shrimp, grilled watermelon and pineapple, pulled pork and more. It was really fantastic. Here's a couple photos from that dinner:
