Whiskey For My Men, Beer For My Horses (2012)

As an artist and beer geek I've been intrigued by Whiskey for My Men, Beer for My Horses, but I was out of town when it happened last year so I haven't attended. Unfortunately I'm going to be gone again this year. But I like the sound of it. Put Friday, June 29th on your calendar.

Whiskey for My Men, Beer for My Horses is a western-themed fundraiser for the Fine Art Center. There's a beer and whiskey tasting, cash bar, music, and an exhibition all at once. The lineup of Colorado brewers and distillers include Pikes Peak Brewing, Colorado Mountain Brewery, BierWerks Brewery, KBKB, Distillery 291 (Colorado Springs) and Spring 44 (Loveland). With entry, you can sample as much as you'd like. They've also got the J. Miller Band playing country music and they're going to have a new western-themed exhibition up in the gallery titled Wild Horses with work by Luis Jimenez, Myron Wood, and Lawrence Barrett.
