Local Beer Happenings This Week in Colorado Springs

We've got a few good looking beer events in Colorado Springs this week so I wanted to point them out to you. Also, take note, there are a few festivals coming up and you may want to buy tickets before it's too late. All available information is below:

Wed. Jan 23

Pikes Peak Brewing Special Tapping at Brewer's Republic
5pm / 112 N. Nevada Ave.
Pikes Peak is bringing some very special beers: Devils in the Wood (Red ale aged in red wine barrels), Gold Rush du Brett (sour Belgian golden ale), Wild Horses Porter (Bear Creek Porter slightly soured in whiskey barrels), Oaked Elephant (IPA aged in oak whiskey barrels), The Brits Are Back (English Mild - won Best of Show at the State Fair!), and the tasty Switchback Coffee Porter. Bring your friends - these are beers not to be missed and you can't even find all of them in PPBC tap room!

Fri. Jan 25

Pappy Legba Release Party at Trinity Brewing
5pm / 1146 Garden of the Gods Rd.
Brewed with just a touch of flaked maize for a seductive and creamy texture, this crimson Saison is undeniably focused on fruit. Post fermentation this special Belgian is aged on a grip of pie cherries, lending it more of a Kriek profile rather than Saison. 13.0% ABV.

Special New Belgium Beers Made By Walking Tapping at Brewer's Republic
6pm / 112 N. Nevada Ave.
This is one of our events so we hope to see you there! Last year we invited New Belgium to make a beer as part of our Beers Made By Walking program. They ended up making a Bock with lavender and plum. The beer turned out really nicely and has only been available outside of the NBB taproom during our anniversary party. We've secured one last keg and we want to share the beer one last time with you.

Sat. Jan. 26

Black and White Ball at Pikes Peak Brewing
7-10pm / 1756 Lake Woodmoor Dr., Monument
Join us as we dance the night away with Mark's Midnight Carnival Show and all things black and white. Wear ANYTHING black and white. Originality will be rewarded. Admission:  FREE

This exciting one-day event brings microbrewers and renowned experts together for the exchange of information and ideas. We attended one year and this proved to be a very informative event. Check out all the details here.
