Beers Made By Walking in Oregon for Portland Beer Week

Even though Focus on the Beer is a Colorado-forward blog we do mention Oregon quite a bit. The reason is because I'm originally from Oregon and I've been organizing beer events there since 2008. It's been fun tying the events together more and more through this blog and I hope our readers don't mind!

Beers Made By Walking will have two special events for PDX Beer Week. On June 12th we will have a public hike in Forest Park and on June 13th we will tap four beers from Breakside, Coalition, Hopworks, and Gigantic inspired by a trail in Forest Park. Details are below:

June 12th / 6pm / BMBW Hike in Forest Park
$10 / Tickets available at Belmont Statio
Come hike with the brewers at Breakside, Coalition, Hopworks, and Gigantic in Forest Park and learn about the plants that they are using in their latest BMBW beers. The $10 fee covers the cost of a guided tour from the Forest Park Conservancy and 2-3 hours of hiking with the four brewers. Paid guests will receive the exact location of hike in advance via email. Limited to 20 guests. Stop in at Belmont Station to get your tickets.

June 13th / 5pm / BMBW Tapping at Belmont Station
Pay per beer / 4500 SE Stark, Portland
Drink beers inspired by a trail in Forest Park. Brewers from Breakside, Coalition,  Hopworks, and Gigantic have created beers using ingredients identified on a trail in Portland's famous park. Additional information about each beer will be made available on our FB page soon.
