Recap: Green Man Sneak Peek

After the All Colorado Beer Festival, all is usually quiet on the beer festival front, but this year we were all treated to one last, special fest. Green Man Taproom, the entity who is taking over the Carter Payne event center, a landmark in downtown Colorado Springs, held one of the most intimate, enjoyable festivals I've been to.It was more like a party with a bunch of friends than a festival, with solo cups and serve-your-own food, but the caliber of breweries that were present helped make awesome. If you're not following the current happenings, Green Man is renovating the main event space to include a 48-tap draught system, with enough seating for 180 people, and an outdoor beer garden. The inside space itself is awe-inspiring. Being there on a sunny Saturday afternoon, the room was naturally, dramatically lit by huge windows. I got there a little after the opening time and the room was already brimming with excited people. Here's some photos from the day:

Thanks to Scott and all his volunteers, as well as the brewery representatives for putting on a very enjoyable afternoon. We'll continue to keep you updated with the progression of Carter Payne into Green Man, so stay tuned!
