Veterans at Veteran's: Red Leg Can Release

This past Friday, I tagged along with Todd Baldwin, owner of Red Leg Brewing Company, for their can release at Veteran's Liquor. For a brewery that is only in its 18th month of existence, it is really cool to see that they are already canning and getting their beer into local liquor stores! We were there for 2 hours and the local response was incredible to see.Fridaynight-2Recently, Old Chicago started putting Red Leg's Howitzer Amber on tap, and from what I've seen the reactions are all positive. With 4 beers in cans and an expanded tasting room in the works, keep your eyes on Red Leg Brewing in the near future.Fridaynight-3Some customers hadn't heard about Red Leg before, but were easily persuaded to try a six pack!Fridaynight-7On a side note, Friday was also The Ute and Yeti's grand opening, so if you didn't make it in there definitely check it out. They've got a bunch of tasty things on tap and a growing selection of cans in the fridge. We stopped into the Ute and Yeti after the can release, and it seemed like almost everyone had a Red Leg can in their hands at one point during the night.Fridaynight-6Back to the can release's success. Considering Veterans started with 30 cases and ended with 5, the beer was selling like hot cakes! While there were a lot of familiar faces grabbing Red Leg beer, most of the crowd were newcomers. Personally, I can't wait for Cutter Wit to make it into cans, as that will be my new go-to for hot summer days.Even Todd had to grab a six pack of Blue Nose Brown before they all sold out.Congrats to Todd and everyone at Red Leg Brewing for this milestone. Looking for Red Leg in cans?  Head to Veteran's Liquors or The Ute and Yeti pub inside City Rock and get your own!
