Brew News: St. Paddy's Celebrations, Beer releases and more

I hope everyone didn't drink too much green beer this past weekend, as there's multiple celebrations happening tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day. Put on your green attire and make sure you stop in at these local breweries who are celebrating. There's also some fun beer releases and other events happening that you should be sure to check out!

St. Patrick's Day:

Great Storm Brewing

Great Storm will be having their standard Bingo tonight, but with green-themed prizes and some BBQ! If you didn't make it out to their anniversary party on Saturday, there is still some of the Nico and Tesselated on tap!

Storybook Brewing

Pete and the gang will be releasing the first in the Kilhaven series, their oatmeal stout! All oatmeal stout pints will be $3, and they'll also be serving up Irish Stew, Corned Beef with Cabbage, Irish Soda Bread, Reubens and more!

Pete's tasting notes for the oatmeal stout: "Dark with a bitter finish. The nose presents coffee and dark chocolate. A small sip, swished around the mouth delivers a sour tang to the middle of the tongue, dominated by bitter chocolate at the back of the tongue, and all retreating bitter fading out slowly, reminding you it's time take another sip."

Fieldhouse Brewing

Niki and Travis will be opening up especially for today! Starting at 2pm, they'll have Green Paws on tap with Treehouse BBQ serving up the tasty goods out back. Word is they'll have smoked corned beef to serve...sounds tasty!

Nano 108

You say tomato, we say potato! That's right, everyone's favorite food truck from last year is beginning to make its rounds at breweries this spring! Tuesdays, Kevin and Potato Potato will be at Nano 108, and St. Paddy's is their first day! Keith will be tapping a Dry Irish Stout, which will be on CO2 and Nitro. Stouts not your thing? Don't worry, Nano has 17 beers on tap for you to choose from!

Bristol Brewing

Bristol is hosting the Lucky St. Patricks Day Party, featuring 75 craft and small businesses that raises funds for local animal rescues in our area! Stop in, grab a pint of Maibock and support local!

Manitou Brewing

Manitou opens at Noon today, with their awesome lineup of beer as well as bangers & mash and Corned Beef & Cabbage on the menu for your stomachs! Start your celebrations there!

Trinity Brewing

Today they'll be tapping their Wee banshee Irish Red brewed with sea salt and sea weed! Grab some corned beef and cabbage from their kitchen as well!

Colorado Mountain Brewery

To celebrate St Paddy's, Colorado Mountain Brewery will be featuring $1 off Reuben sandwiches, authentic Irish Stew, and their Double Irish Red Ale on tap.

At 9.00% alcohol by volume, Colorado Mountain Brewery’s Double Irish Red tastes a bit sweet, with a lightly hopped tea-like flavor. This well-rounded red ale has a pleasant toasted malt character, balanced flavors and a drying finish that is easy to please any palate.

Brewer's Republic

Josh and the gang will be opening up at Noon today, with Lefthand Nitro Milk Stout, Pikes Peak Paddy O Peak Irish Stout, and Victory Donny Brook Irish Stout on tap to help celebrate!

In other news:

Rocky Mountain Brewery has started canning every Tuesday at 2:30! Talk to their bartender to get on the list to help out! It's a great way to see another aspect of our local brewing industry and you get beer for your work!
