Sesh Fest 2015 - Photo Recap

Welcome to the Sesh Fest my dapper friends!Saturday's Sesh Fest (Session Beer Festival if you're not into the whole brevity thing) was where we found ourselves wishing we had it made in the shade more often than we did.  With temps at 90 degrees in downtown Denver, shade was at a premium, but the many delicious beers helped cut the heat and keep us refreshed.A Beautiful Colorado Day, filled with Colorado beer!Sesh Fest, put on by Imbibe Events and the Colorado Brewer's Guild, is held in Denver at the Sculpture Park near the arts center.  Sesh Fest is a fantastic festival that showcases beers with an ABV below 5% or what some would call 'Session Beers'.  You're likely to get a number of different answers to what constitutes a session beer depending on who you ask, but to keep it simple it is just a beer with a lower alcohol content.Sesh Fest EntryThere were many fantastic beers and a few ciders on tap from 45 different breweries.  Some favorites we found were: Life's Trade from Trve Brewing - a barrel aged farmhouse ale; Brombeere from Odell's - Blackberry Gose; and C Squared Ciders' Organic Ginger Cider.  Certainly there were many many other great beers there as well.  The options were numerous with each brewer having at least two options to share.Sesh Fest GlasswareWe heartily recommend this festival.  It seemed uncrowded and well laid out in the park with short lines, games to enjoy (like giant beer pong, cornhole, and others), food trucks on hand, and a few extra shade tents.  If we had any complaint it was not with the festival, but the fact that the shade was sparse and the day was hot (neither were any fault of the festival obviously).  We encourage everyone to check this out next year, as it seems to be a best kept secret among festivals. Sesh Fest TrucksGiant Beer Pong is a thing. Where does one find giant Solo Cup shaped trash cans? Not crowded was the word of the day. Plenty of room to move around, and short lines mean you get quick access to beer.
