Get Your Party On: Three Must-Attend New Year's Celebrations

Another year has come and gone. This year, we didn't see a ton of new breweries open up, but we saw openings for Gold Camp Brewing, Local Relic, Peaks N Pines and Triple S. The new year holds some good possibilities for openings with Cogstone, Cerberus and Whistle Pig all showing tons of forward progress. Before long, we'll top 30 breweries in the Pikes Peak region.With New Year's eve fast approaching, we looked around at the varied events that are happening and picked a few of our favorites. Here's three places you should see and be seen this Thursday. Can't make it to one of these? Just about every brewery in town will have something going on, so head in there and wish them the best for 2016!

1. Fieldhouse Brewing's New Year's New Beers

Alright, we did have a hand in one of Travis' brews for this event, but after spying on his list, there will be tons of interesting flavors to satisfy any palate. Beer to drink: the FOTB/Fieldhouse Vanilla Imperial Stout collaboration. Last year, we did vanilla and oak, this year, it will have vanilla and raspberries. Also, look for bottles to pop up on shelves as well! Here's their beer list:

  • Belgian Dubbel aged on tequila oak
  • Blood Orange Mandarin IPA
  • Coffee Porter
  • Single Hopped Galaxy IPA
  • Gluten Free Grapefruit Sour
  • Double IPA 10.7%, 116IBU
  • Gluten Free Caramel Macchiato Stout
  • Dry Hopped Sour IPA
  • Russian Imperial Stout aged on raspberries (collaboration with Focus on the Beer)
  • Spicy Chocolate Stout aged on cocoa nibs and cayenne pepper

2. Fossil Craft Beer Company's Oreo Strata Milk Stout release

oreo-strataStop in between 2pm and 8pm to grab some of Fossil Craft Beer Company's highly coveted Oreo Milk Stout. Last time they brewed this, it sold out in an hour and a half. This time, they brewed twice as much. Grab a growler and bring some to your later events!Facebook event
