Ratio One Year Anniversary Recap
I have to admit, I'm somewhat addicted to Ratio Beerworks. Maybe it's the beer, or perhaps the atmosphere, but it doesn't matter. I love that place.Ratio Beerworks celebrated their first anniversary over Valentine’s Day weekend with one heck of a party. The guys at Ratio kicked off Friday with a special Blood Orange saison firkin, and a night of stand-up comedy in the brew house.Saturday featured yet another special tapping—this time they tapped ‘One Year Later’, a Belgian tripel with lemons added. With the sun out and temperatures in the mid-60's, the early summer-style weather made Ratio's patio the place to be! We found ourselves out there enjoying the crowd and the unusually warm (it's February!?) day. Let’s hope Ratio brings their Tripel back in the summer. It was that good. (I'm rooting for a 1.5yr anniversary party)A special shout out goes to Matt’s Snack Shack that was dishing out killer grilled cheeses (try the ‘New Mexico’ if you like Green Chile and bacon.) The afternoon showcased DJ Digg Haze playing some punk and indie songs that kept the crowd happy and entertained.Later on Saturday night, The Gamits played an acoustic set, with Matt Pryor (from The Get Up Kids) following. The night ended with a Weezer tribute band that played all the favorite Weezer hits. Sunday (Where the hell did the sun go?) kept the party going with a Pineapple Coconut Saison, and “Bloody Beers” made from The Real Dill pickles being served to help cure that 2-day hangover. (See, I'm addicted)We ended getting more photos of all the mutts at the party (go figure, right?), but the owners were nice enough to lets us explore around in the back to take some photos of the bulk of their setup. Even with the massive gathering, the service was top-notch and every time we needed to refill, it was easy to get through the queue. We’ll be back next year for their 2nd anniversary, and we’ll hope the weather can match what we had this time around. Like I mentioned in my last article, Ratio is one to watch. I definitely am addicted.(All photos by Jessica Skousen)
