Post-GABF Events You Need to Attend

Did you miss out on GABF last week? Well, luckily for you, there's a few events this week where you can get a taste of GABF or just enjoy some great beers.

Tuesday | Oct 10

Pumpkin Coffee Cream Ale Release | 4pm

Gold Camp Brewing is releasing a pumpkin coffee cream ale tonight, so if PSLs are your jam, head in and try their beer-ified version.

JAKs Isophot Saison Small Batch Release | 4pm

This straw colored farmhouse ale pours effervescent with a pop of orange zest and peach aroma. Flavor notes include citrus, wheat and rye with a peppery white wine finish. This is JAKs' new brewer André's first project, so go out and support him/them!

Wednesday | Oct 11

Test Tap Wednesday: Almond Joy Porter | 5pm

In the spirit of Halloween, Fieldhouse Brewing always does "candy beers" for their Test Taps in October. Week 2 of Candy Month is an Almond Joy Porter! This beer is perfect for the fall - nutty, chocolatey and roasty!

Thursday | Oct 12

Meet the Brewer Brewery: Scratch Brewing | 6pm

We're lucky to be co-hosting Scratch Brewing at Front Range BBQ this Thursday starting at 6pm. Thanks to our old friend David Wright, we were able to get a few kegs of Scratch beer in Colorado Springs. Tappings will include Basil IPA and File Saison. This event is a buy your own beer event, so feel free to get there early and have dinner before we hear from David about Scratch.

Talk Nerdy to Me | 7pm

Fossil Craft Beer's friend Anthony Maltese, curator at the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, will be back to present “Dead Fish CSI: Reconstructing a mystery 85 million years on”! His talks are educational and highly entertaining and we're happy to have him back to do another Nerdy night!

Thursday PIN night | 4pm

Stop by Iron Bird's Tap Room on Thursday, October 12 at 4pm for $3 pints of their Cask Conditioned American Pale Ale. Dry hopped with Idaho 7 Hops. Don't miss out on this delicious brew! It'll only be pouring for a limited time!

Saturday | Oct 14

Inaugural Chili Cook off at Paradox Beer Company | 12pm

This event is open to the Public with Judged Entries and a People Choice Award. If you want to partake in the chili, Paradox is selling tickets that include an entrée bowl of chili, beer/soda, samples of all entries, plus all the accoutrements. At $12 for adults and $6 for children, that's a steal of a deal. Proceeds from the event benefit International Surgical Missions.Want to enter the contest? Here are the contest rules: Must use a Paradox Beer in the chili. Contestant Crowlers can be picked up ahead of time. Bring a crock pot of warmed chili to Paradox and set up by 11:30am. (Per county regulations chili must be kept at temperature to serve the public) Judging will begin at 11:30, open to the public at 12pm.

Boos & Brews Haunted House & Brewfest | 3pm

Boos & Brews is an event combining a high class haunted house and a brewfest. Head out and sample from all of the breweries coming to the party, enjoy the custom built 1,700 square foot haunted house, Alice Cooper Tribute Band "Dragontown Dan," and even stick around for a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show! BV GABF tapping | 4pm

The Jailhouse Craft Beer Bar's BV GABF tapping event is this Saturday, October 14th from 4:00-10:00 p.m. This year's list includes beers from Jester King, American Solera, Scratch, Lawson's, Fort George, Societe, and more! The Jailhouse will also be adding quite a few special bottles to the house bottle list, and will likely be doing some bottle pours on Saturday. Also, to celebrate their good friends at Melvin Brewing, they will also be selling $3 cans of Hubert Pale Ale and Hey Zeus Mexican Lager on Saturday.
