It's been a busy few weeks for us here at Focus on the Beer...and not enough beer drinking! There's quite a few great events coming up this week, so get out there and spread some holiday cheers. Pun intended.

Bristol Brewing's Warm Clothes Drive
In partnership with Springs Rescue Mission, Bristol Brewing is collecting jackets, gloves, socks, and hand warmers for those who can use some help battling the elements this winter season.To show you their thanks, Bristol giving away a limited release of Crowlers (32oz. cans of to-go beer) filled with this year's spiced Christmas Ale to those who donate.Here's the rundown:
- For every item you donate, you'll be entered into the giveaway. You can enter more than once by donating more than one item!
- An item could be a jacket, a pair of gloves, a pair of socks, or a pack of hand warmers.
- Bristol will take your donations at the Bristol Dry Goods Store now through Thursday, December 14th.
BONUS: When you bring in your donation you'll immediately receive 10% off any purchase you make in the Dry Goods Store that day -- including packaged beer & kegs!On Friday, December 15th, Bristol will take your donated items to Springs Rescue Mission. Bristol will also contact the winners of the Christmas Ale crowlers to invite you to come pick them up.
Cerberus Brewing's NYE Beer Pairing Dinner
Join Cerberus Brewing Company and ring in the New Year! Celebrate with a 3 Course Dinner and Beer Pairing presented by their Executive Chef, Mark LeFebvre, and Head Brewer, Josh Adamski. Sap Tap: S'mores Porter | Peaks N Pines Brewing | 5:30pm
This week’s Sap Tap is a S’mores Porter! This 6% ABV porter tastes like chocolate, toasted marshmallow, and graham cracker in a glass! Scott combined the flavors of a sweet porter and campfire s’more by brewing it with a blend of maris otter, chocolate, and roasted/smoked malts and conditioned with chocolate and vanilla... The results are a decadent beer with the flavor of milk-chocolate, toasted marshmallow, and graham cracker. Just like the real thing!Remember; Sap Taps are served at 5:30 PM in half pints and will go quickly!
Secondhand Lager Release | Cerberus Brewing
Secondhand Lager is a German Rauchbier brewed with Cherrywood smoked malt that comes in around 6.2%ABV. If you like smoke beers like we do, it's certain to be delicious.
Kunda Baltic Porter Release | Fossil Craft Beer | 2pm
Fossil's Baltic Porter is back! They have just a small amount this time around, (Fossil put most of it in a brandy barrel for next year...), so go grab a pint before it's gone!

This will be a Colorado Springs tap release party for Denver-based Platt Park Brewing Company, showcasing a variety of their craft brews, and is also an Indy Give! event featuring Give! nonprofits Rocky Mountain Field Institute and Pikes Peak Climber's Alliance!Attendees who donate at the event to either nonprofit through Give! will be entered to win awesome door prizes.
