Dueces Wild Set for Grand Opening

We had a chance to stop into the East-side brewery a few days ago and can't say enough nice things about what these guys have done with the place. Located on the backside of a nondescript shopping center off of Peterson Road and Platte, Dueces Wild is launching with great quality beers and we couldn't be more excited. Now, before you even go there—the name isn't spelled the way you would expect, but don't let that cloud your judgement of the beers. To say the beer is solid would be an understatement. To handle the brewing duties, Dueces' owners Bill Gillette and Rich Hysing brought in Jeff Lockhart, who headed up Red Leg Brewing's brewhouse for a few years after stints at Sweetwater, Ouray Brewing, Royal Gorge Brewing and Shamrock Brewing. If you're a fan of eating while imbibing, next door to Dueces Wild is Grinder, a sandwich shop which just opened its doors as well. Expect to be able to order straight from the bar soon and have your food brought in.We started our experience with Dueces with a flight of all six offerings they had on the board. At the time of writing, they had an IPA, a Porter, a Stout, a Kölsch, an Amber and our favorite—a Blood Orange Pale ale. Everything was balanced and well-brewed, so we can't wait to see what they use to fill up the other 6 spots on their tap list.If you haven't had a chance to head out to Dueces for any of their "soft" openings yet, check them out tomorrow for their Grand Opening. Dueces is offering $1 off all pints from 11am-6pm for Grand Opening, and they'll also have some special edition glassware for sale as well to help commemorate the occasion! Maybe we'll see you out there.
