As we head into the third week of January, hopefully you have recovered from the holidays and are getting back into the normal routine of fun, local beer releases and events (or perhaps just recovering from Big Beers in Breckenridge this past weekend). There are some exciting events happening this week, including a Fremont Brewing takeover at Brewer's Republic, the start of game nights and a FUN-draiser at Atrevida, FH Beerworks releasing their first batch on the new brew system, and the release of a cannibas terpene IPA (can you get more "Colorado"?) and a Rocky Horror Picture shadowcast all weekend at Local Relic. Every Tuesday night, the Bristol Pub invites a local non-profit to tell everyone who they are, what they stand for, and how they are making our community better! This week will be featuring All Breed Rescue & Training. They are dedicated to Rescue, Rehab, Rehome, and (Re)Training at-risk dogs in our community. They also provide educational services and training for pet parents so they can have a nice dog. Everyone deserves to have a nice dog! Bristol will donate $1 per pint sold between 6-8pm. This 4-session course is designed to teach adult students how to get the most out of their cameras and how to photograph a variety of subjects. Instruction includes discussions of camera settings, equipment choices and composition. Participants will apply what they’ve learned through hands-on sessions in portraiture, macro photography (flowers, small products, etc.) and low-light/long-exposure shooting. This course also covers sports, event, flash, landscape, wildlife, candid, lightning, firework and night-sky photography as well as “painting with light” techniques.
