Event Preview: Ska Brewing's 27th Anniversary

September is always a special time of year, with Ska Brewing’s anniversary always commanding our attention at some point, and for good reason. Ska always puts on an incredible party, complete with incredible live music and some of the best beer from around the area and beyond. The event is sold out, but if you’re one of the lucky few who are attending, here’s some things to look forward to:
Friday September 2nd
Ska Beer + Art Show by Nan Coffey
Even if you’re not going to the Anniversary event, there’s a truly unique art show opening at Ska World HQ starting Friday at 4pm featuring work by Nan Coffey. The Show will be up all September, so if you don’t get a chance on Friday, make sure to check it out if you’re in Durango!
Nan Coffey is a contemporary artist based out of San Diego, CA. Nan’s intention is to use her unique artistic talents as a vehicle to show connectivity, inclusion and love (along with a side of Rock’n’Roll and a good beer) to the world. Nan calls her eye-catching style “Art All Over.” Art All Over is based on two basic principles: that her art takes advantage of the entire surface of her chosen canvas and that her art isn’t confined to just traditional canvases, but that she is free to express herself on any object that inspires her creativity. The term Art All Over came naturally as Nan found herself constantly showing objects and items to her husband and telling him that she wants to paint her art all over them.

Featuring live music from Hepcat with special guests, Rude Girl Revue and Denver Vintage Reggae Society.
Enjoy beers from 30+ of Ska Brewing’s closest brewery friends and food from their kitchen as well as from Heavy Burgers Food Truck. Proceeds to benefit La Plata Open Space Conservancy.
