Trinity Brewing Brings Canning In-House, Launches Brand New Can Designs

If you follow Trinity Brewing, you may have noticed that they changed their logo to a more modern T^3 style on social media. Reaching out to Jason Yester, we found out that this new logo is primarily going to be used for their can lineup, while the previous logo will be retained for their bottle lineup.

Logo for Trinity’s canned beer lineup.

Previously, Trinity had utilized Pikes Peak Brewing to contract brew and package Hype Forager, but for these new cans, Yester tells us he is bringing it back in-house. To accommodate the added production and canning, Trinity has added new tanks in the back of the brewery as well as a Twin Monkey canning line.

Design-wise, this change marks a sense of maturity for Trinity Brewing’s label designs. Gone are the playful hand-drawn characters and subtle inside jokes, but instead the labels gain a bold emblem displaying the beer name and style and some seriously great typographical icons for “Consciously Vegan” and “Always Unfiltered.”

Personally, I love the beer style emblazoned sideways on the can—it’s instantly recognizable which beer you’re pulling out of the cooler/fridge/singles section. The choice of typefaces is refreshing-yet-familiar, and the stark contrast of the labels will really pop when compared to many other cans on shelves.

With three additional beers joining Hype Forager, the HF label will no longer be upside-down, but it will retain the watercolor rainbow background that made it so distinct.

Here’s what’s new:
