Stem Ciders Announces Upcoming Taproom-only Releases
Many of Stem Ciders’ interesting an versatile flavors begin their life as experimental, small batch releases available in their taproom only. They’re releasing a few fun new options that we all need to go try soon:
Manhattan - 8.5% ABV
Our flagship cider Real Dry is laid to rest in Laws Whiskey, Woodford Reserve, Weller, and Stagg Jr. bourbon barrels for 10 months. We then rested the liquid on a blend of vermouth-inspired botanicals, Luxardo cherries, and a touch of vanilla. The end result is one that replicates the perfect Manhattan cocktail, in cider form. Manhattan showcases gentle herbaceous vermouth botanicals, cherry preserves, and nutty toasted oak imparted from the thoughtful blending of our barrel-aged cider base.
Banjo - 8.4% ABV
The original entry in our bourbon series, Banjo serves as the base bourbon barrel-aged cider that started it all. Banjo is a unique dry, crisp, barrel-forward cider that has evolved throughout the years adopting different aging durations, while also being aged in a variety of different bourbon barrels. This year's Banjo features a blend of our base Real Dry cider laid to rest in Laws Whiskey, Woodford Reserve, Weller, and Stagg Jr. bourbon barrels for 10 months. The result is a beautifully nuanced profile of toffee and caramel without exhibiting any residual sweetness and still finishing light and refreshing. Banjo joins Manhattan as a taproom-only release in 2023.
Old Fashioned - 8.5% ABV
After resting in bourbon barrels for 10 months, we introduce the liquid to fresh Valencia orange zest, Luxardo cherries, and a blend of bitters-inspired spices extracted in high-proof apple brandy. The culmination of these flavors replicates everything we love about an Old Fashioned with a splash of our favorite cider. Tasting notes of orange marmalade, warm baking spices, and soft vanilla caramels.
Manhattan, Banjo, and Old Fashioned will be available at Stem Ciders RiNo and Ghost Box Pizza beginning June 5 and at Acreage on June 7. Also available for pre-order.
