Boulder, Colo. • October 25, 2021  — In recognition of the 23rd annual Learn to Homebrew Day on November 6, the American Homebrewers Association® (AHA)  invites the homebrewing community and craft beer fans to celebrate the art and science of brewing beer. Visit HomebrewersAssociation.org/LTHD and pledge to homebrew, whether at home or by attending a virtual or in-person event.

Learn to Homebrew Day was established in 1999 by the American Homebrewers Association to promote education about the most rewarding and delicious hobby of all time. Every year on the first Saturday in November, thousands of people celebrate, learn, and welcome newcomers to the hobby of homebrewing.

This year, participants can choose from this year’s official recipes, Lucky 13 Dark Mild, from Laurie Ann Gutierrez, Brew’d Up podcast host and SoCal Cerveceros homebrew club member, or Fuil Croi Irish Red Ale, from John Palmer's book How To Brew, the definitive guide to learning how to make beer at home.

First-time brewers can easily get started with common kitchen items and ingredients at local homebrew supply shops or online retailers.

“Homebrewing is an innovative and social hobby that allows people to be adventurous with ingredients. Learn to Homebrew Day is one of the best days of the year to share in the experience and introduce curious newcomers to the rewards of homebrewing,” said Rachel Staats, senior marketing manager, American Homebrewers Association. “We raise a glass to celebrate the best hobby in the world—homebrewing.”
