Dry Dock Releases Bligh's Barleywine in Cans

Until now, this longtime Dry Dock cult-favorite (and 2018 World Beer Cup medalist) has been available only in 22-oz bombers. The shift in packaging provides consumers with a friendly single-serve portion that’s infinitely more portable. Now you can bring award winning barleywines anywhere you already enjoy cans of beer.

This 2022 edition of Bligh’s is 11.5 % ABV and has 30 IBUs. It was aged in bourbon barrels (including barrels from Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig and Heaven Hill) for 13 months prior to packaging. Bligh’s is made with a base malt of Marris Otter (from the UK) along with Crystal, Special B, and Cara-Pils malts, and hopped with Challenger and Northern Brewer. Malty and complex, it features aromas of coconut, toffee and whiskey and flavors of caramel, dark fruits, oak and more whiskey.

Four-packs of 12-oz cans of Bligh’s are available across Colorado and are hitting shelves now.
