Lift Off: Over Flyte to Open Above FlyteCo Tower in Former Stapleton International Airport

DENVER (June 26, 2023) – In early July, FlyteCo Tower, the second location of FlyteCo Brewing, is expanding within the historic – now defunct – Stapleton International Airport, attached to the iconic 164-foot-tower (3120 Uinta St, Denver, CO 80238). On the third floor of the tower, Over Flyte will have three high-end, suite-style golf simulators, six high-tech ax throwing lanes, ping pong tables, full bar and food available from FlyteCo Tower as well as 5,000-feet of event space. Last summer, FlyteCo Tower opened its second location: a 20,000-square-foot brewpub, outfitted with six bowling lanes, 18 holes of minigolf, full arcade and family-friendly lawn games.

“FlyteCo Tower has built quite the destination, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them on this newest venture that provides even more experiences to Denver and its visitors,” said Vinay Patidar, owner of Over Flyte. “The golf simulators are the first of their kind in Denver, while the expansive space provides a more adult space than the family-friendly FlyteCo Tower.”

The Full Swing’s new Pro 2.0 Simulators, which start at $55,000, are capable of playing PGA courses and traditional simulator golf games as well as a variety of sports from baseball, hockey, football and more.

Additionally, using real axes in the six axe throwing lanes, guests can play digital games such as connect four and tic-tac-toe. In addition to the bevy of competitive games, there are 10 projectors, TVs surrounding the space and views of the Rocky Mountains.

Over Flyte will be open from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Tuesday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday.

In addition to its own FlyteCo beers on tap, FlyteCo Tower and Over Flyte offer wine and spirits as well as a full food menu and happy hour. FlyteCo Tower’s menu features upscale twists on traditional bar food, wonton-wrapped Fried Pickles, as well as a variety of salads, classic sandwiches, burgers, desserts and a kids’ menu. The menu is anchored by its extensive pizza menu, made possible from a newly installed pizza oven.

The now defunct Stapleton International Airport previously served as Denver's central airport before being replaced in 1996 by Denver International Airport. After sitting vacant for 20 years, Punch Bowl Social revitalized it in 2017, followed by FlyteCo Tower taking over in 2022.

FlyteCo’s background is deeply rooted in aviation – two out of the three owners are pilots and the original brewery features many show-stopping airborne design elements, including a salvaged plane wing and a full-size replication of a Boeing 737 fuselage. Additionally, 10 percent of FlyteCo’s profits benefit the future of aviation through scholarships and donations to youth engagement as well as benefit veteran-focused organizations.

More about FlyteCo Tower

Denver-based FlyteCo Brewing opened its doors in March 2019 in the Berkeley neighborhood with just five beers on tap. The aviation-themed brewery is the brainchild of Morgan O’Sullivan, Eric Serani and head brewer Jason Slingsby – all who initially bonded over an equal love of homebrewing and aviation. Since then, the brewery has added a coffee shop and bagel eatery, 15 more taps and a number of awards, including a silver medal for the FlyteCo Marzen Copter and bronze medal for the P-38 Pumpkin Porter at the 2021 Brewski Awards. In August 2022, the brewery opened a second location at the recently revitalized former Stapleton International Airport Control Tower.
