Storybook Brewing To Release Three Stouts for 'The Darkest Night of the Year'
Colorado Springs, CO — Storybook Brewing announces three beer releases for International Stout Day this Thursday, November 7. “The Darkest Night of the Year” will feature Storybook’s Double Barrel Bourbon Stout, Kilhaven Oatmeal Stout and Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout.
The beers available Thursday at Storybook are:
Double Barrel Bourbon Stout (8.5% ABV)
A blending of two barrel aged beers. The blend was pulled from a Bourbon Barrel from Ax and the Oak (Double Stout), and a Rye Whiskey Maple Syrup Barrel (Belgian Dark Strong Ale). Blended for balance, the bourbon and vanilla flavors come from the charred oak while the maple flavor is subtle.
Kilhaven Oatmeal Stout (6.2% ABV | 28 IBUs)
A winter stout with rolled oat and roasted malts. This year’s version used some of the new Blonde RoastOat by Briess.
Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout (6%ABV)
Storybook’s annual release is brewed with maraschino cherries and cocoa powder. This beer tastes like chocolate-covered cherries.
So head on out to Storybook this Thursday to celebrate International Stout Day in style.
