WeldWerks, Odell Brewing and Little Man Ice Cream Company Team Up for Marsh Madness
College basketball-themed Ice Cream Stout will make its debut on St. Patrick’s Day and poured at Collaboration Fest
GREELEY, Colo. (March 14, 2022) — After tremendous success with Little Man Salted Oreo Stout, WeldWerks Brewing Co. and Little Man Ice Cream Company are once again teaming up to create an ice cream stout. This time the dynamic duo have tagged in Odell Brewing Co. for an upcoming Collaboration Fest brew that will be available on March 17 and at the festival on April 2.
“We are incredibly excited about this collaboration which is completely derived from our collective passion for creativity and ingenuity through food, fun, and friendship,” says Sarah Hegge, Production Manager at Little Man Ice Cream Company. “Being a part of this dream team is literally the cherry on top.”
Inspired by Little Man’s Marsh Madness ice cream, the trio’s stout version involves ample amounts of cereal marshmallows and Little Man Marsh Madness ice cream, as well as the combination of pastry stout bases from Odell and WeldWerks. The 9.2% ABV stout is the perfect beer to accompany you along your March Madness journey.
“This beer was wild and a lot of fun to make as we got to throw 80 pounds of cereal marshmallows into the mash,” says Skip Schwartz, WeldWerks Head Brewer. “We’re also big NCAA College basketball fans here at WeldWerks so we’re excited to kick off the beer on St. Patrick’s Day when the tournament starts and also have it available at Collaboration Fest next month.”
Marsh Madness Ice Cream Stout will be available at WeldWerks’ Greeley taproom on Thursday, March 17—just in time for St. Paddy’s day, as well as in cans and on draft within WeldWerks’ distribution footprint. Check the brewery’s beer finder for more information on availability.
Odell Brewing will also tap the beer at their Fort Collins location on Friday, March 18.
The beer will make another appearance at Collaboration Fest on April 2.
“It's always fun to be a part of a collaboration brew but this one is really exciting because it is with our buddies from WeldWerks and our new friends at Little Man Ice Cream,” says Bill Beymer, Brew House Manager at Odell Brewing Co. “Both of these companies are masters of flavor in the realm of gourmet desserts and they do a great job flexing their creative muscles to regularly produce fan favorites. We are thrilled to be involved in this collaboration and look forward to sharing the fruits of our labor with everyone.”
