Monument Beer Week 2011: Oct 16 - 22

That's right, Monument now has a Beer Week! I'd imagine it's largely due to the work of our new Pikes Peak Brewing, as everything looks like it's happening there. I'm not sure if other places in Monument will also be participating. Check out the calendar of events:

Sunday - 10/16
Homebrewers Demonstration mid afternoon

Monday - 10/17
Beer Chef contest, bring your best beer-inspired recipe for a chance to win fabulous PPBC prizes! If you'd like to participate, contact Courtney at courtney@pikespeakbrewing.com for details.

Tuesday - 10/18
Private Beer Expedition Team Beer and Cheese Tasting Event.  BET Members Only. Beer and cheese event, $30/person; Must RSVP and Pay in advance at PPBC. Taste a great pairing between some German cheeses and PPBC beer.

Wednesday - 10/19
Beer Cocktails from 5p-9p with Mountain Gin and Black Forest Meadery. This event is free to attend, drinks are separate. Representatives from the Meadery and the Distillery will be onsite to answer questions about their products.

Thursday - 10/2o
Beer University sponsored by CSU Pueblo. Times to be announced soon!

Friday - 10/21
IPA Fest - IPA's from around Colorado including Elephant Rock IPA!

Saturday - 10/22
Oktoberfest release

7:30p - 2nd seating for authentic German dinner (sold out)
6p-9p - Live polka music with The Buttonboyz
Only 20 tickets available for each German Dinner. $11.99. Call quickly: 719.208.4098

Also, we noticed this last night conflicts with our new date for our Crooked Stave Meet the Brewer Event. We won't be able to attend both, however, A Second Cup and Pikes Peak Brewing are close enough to make it really easy to hit our event at 6pm on the way up to Monument.
