Train Rides and Drinking!

I'm going to put together a comprehensive post on all the beer happenings this week, but I thought that since I hadn't mentioned this one before, it deserved it's own fest. Ever heard of the Rails and Ales Brewfest? It sounds totally awesome. If you're headed south to the San Luis Valley, or if you want a bit of an adventure this Saturday this could really be an interesting thing to do. It's on the same day as our Battle of the Brewer though so we won't be going :(

The Rails and Ales Brewfest consists of a scenic train ride through the San Luis Valley to a remote mountain location, accessible only by train, where they'll have a festival with lots of vendors, beer, bbq and some country music. Tickets range from $39-$169 depending on the class or service and the departure location.

The participating brewery list looks good too, there's a lot of brewers that aren't at many of the festivals we've been to. Here's a list: San Luis Valley Brewing Co., Oscar Blues Brewing, Ska Brewing, Steamworks Brewing, Left Hand Brewing, Durango Brewing, Carver Brewing, Shamrock Brewing, Horsefly Brewing, Trinity Brewing, Avery Brewing, O’Dell Brewing, Alaskan Brewing, Ourayle Brewing, Crazy Mountain Brewing, Caution Brewing, Three Barrell Brewing, Breckenridge Brewing, Bull & Bush Brewing, Rocky Mountain Brewery, Sandlot Brewing, Colorado Mountain Brewing, A.C. Golden Brewing, Amicas Microbrew, Eskey’s Brew Club, Revolution Brewing, Rockyard Brewing
