Vail Big Beers Festival tickets are available soon!

Tickets for one of the best beer festivals you'll ever attend will go on sale on September 4th at 10am. If you've been a long time reader of this blog, the Vail Big Beers fest needs no introduction from us, we talk about it constantly. But, if you're new(ish) to the site, here the low down:

Three days of fantastic, and educational, beer programming in the resort town of Vail from January 9-11, 2014. The fest takes place at the Vail Cascade Resort, just a hop away from the ski lifts. The three days include Brewmaster dinners, talks by industry leaders (in the past these have included Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head and Julia Herz of the Brewer's Association). There are seminars where you can learn about some of the most recent trends in hops, barrel aging, food pairing, off-flavors, smoked beers and more. This year it looks like some of the highlights will include seminars and workshops from Ginger Johnson of Women Enjoy Beer, Chad Yakobson of Crooked Stave, the brewmaster of Captain Lawrence, Cam O'Connor of Deschutes, and a lot more. You can see the current details here, and they are constantly updated as progress is ironed out.

This year it looks like there will be even more beer available at the tasting, more breweries in attendance, additional seminar tracks, and an additional beer dinner. Also, the commercial tasting will be in a larger location.

While the demand for tickets isn't quite as high as the Great American Beer Festival, you can expect a number of the beer dinners to fill up in a very short amount of time. Seminars and workshops come with the price of the ticket for the commercial tasting, which is $60, but last year a number of them filled up quickly so you have the option of reserving a seat at seminars of your choosing.

Every year we tell folks that we can't recommend this enough. We'd like to emphasize that again this year. After three years of attendance, I can safely say that this festival is the one festival that you should make sure that you don't miss.

Here is some of our previous coverage of the fest. And here. And here. And here.
