Hops for Heroes

After last week's Clips Beer and Film Festival, it's easy to see how much the beer industry and beer consumers care about their community. Coming up this week is an event that has the possibility to directly affect people in our community as well. Enter Operation TBI Freedom's Hops for Heroes. After a 0ne-off event hosted at Dry Dock Brewing Company up in Denver, the organizers realized that with 90% of the veterans who were being treated lived in the Pikes Peak Region, an event down here may have the same turnout and support. A little background on Operation TBI Freedom. The TBI stands for Traumatic Brain Injury. The organization helps any veteran who has served after 2001 with any complications stemming from a traumatic brain injury. One of the even cooler things is that the injury didn't have to occur while on active duty. With such a dominant military presence in Colorado Springs, it's easy to see that organizations like Operation TBI Freedom are desperately needed.hops_for_heroesThanks to Greg Howard from McCabe's Tavern, the event is now a reality. So how can you take part? Head to this link, get a ticket, and we'll see you at McCabe's tomorrow July 22 at 5:30pm. Your ticket provide you two tacos, two drinks of your choice (select beer, well drinks, soda). 100% of the proceeds will help Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Veterans and their families who have experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury.Facebook Event Link: https://www.facebook.com/events/308988609263672 Can't make it?Check out these other Hops for Heroes events happening later this summer:
