Throwback: Breckenridge's Buddha's Hand

Thanks to Matt at Breckenridge Brewery for sending a sample of the (slightly) new Mountain Series release Buddha's Hand. Originally, this was Breckenridge's 20th Anniversary release back in 2010 and was only available in Old Chicago restaurants, but thankfully they've brought it back to the masses this time around.  This belgian-style witbier is flavored with buddha's hand fruit, an odd looking fruit that more closely resembles a Bloomin' Onion than a fruit.Needless to say, this citron helps give Breckenridge a very drinkable, flavorful beer.  The fruit lends its melon and citrus tones that complement the belgian esters of this witbier. If you haven't tried this already, head to your local shop and pick this up in one of Breckenridge's Rocky Mountain Sampler 12-packs. It's only here for a limited time, but it's worth it.I've been slacking lately in updating you all with the wonderful and sometimes weird beers that I've been having.
