Rendezvous at the Rock Recap
This past Saturday, Josh and I ventured up I-25 to attend Rockyard Brewing’s Rendezvous at the Rock. With close to 30 breweries in attendance and lots of eager beer lovers, it turned out to be a really great time. We got a chance to hang out with some familiar faces as well as some new ones as well! Thanks to everyone at Rockyard for their hospitality! One of my favorites from the fest was Caution Brewing's The Earl, an English mild infused with the unique flavors of Earl Grey tea. Some people found it too strange, but I enjoyed it a ton! There really were a ton of amazing beers to choose from. The guys from Strange Craft were pouring their Cherry Bomb wheat stout, a supposed 'mistake' beer sporting a nice tart cherry flavor that balanced with the hefty malt backbone. Ska Brewing brought their Rudie Session IPA, which may very well take the crown from Modus as my go-to-IPA. Other favorites were Paradox Beer Company's Deux Ans, brewed for their 2nd Anniversary, Pikes Peak Brewing's Bear Creek Porter and Loveland Aleworks' American Sour with Raspberries.
