Bristol's Venetucci Pumpkin Ale Release
Last Wednesday, Bristol Brewing, along with hundreds of friends and fans from around the community, released this year's version of Venetucci Pumpkin Ale. Along with just being a beer release, Mike Bristol presented the Pikes Peak Community Foundation with the proceeds from last year's sale. The event kicked off with a pumpkin tapping, where Bristol filled an Ivywild School carved pumpkin filled with this year's ale. As people lined up, some sitting in line well before the first keg was tapped, the Bristols and PPCF employees gave out free samples of the pumpkin ale as a reward for waiting in line.Beer wise, this year's batch was brewed a bit differently from years past. There was a bit more of a roast component to it, possibly from the specialty malts or the pumpkins themselves. Adding to the Community Ale theme, Bristol informed us that 90% of the ingredients were from Colorado, with malts from Colorado Malting in Alamosa, Colorado Hops, and of course Pumpkins from Venetucci Farm. Here's some of our favorite photos from the night! If you haven't gotten your hands on some Venetucci Pumpkin Ale, it's going fast, but you should still be able to find some around town!
