Springs Brew News: Brewers' Harvest, Local Relic Squared, Nerd beer and More
If you ended up at the Great American Beer Festival this last weekend, we hope you have fully recovered in time for this week's festivities. If not, hold on because it's gonna be a fun week. Brewer's Republic has a bunch of fun tappings, Fieldhouse has a very unique beer release, and Local Relic has expanded its offerings for October! Get out there and drink local beer!
All month:
Thanks to the tireless efforts of Travis and Niki at Fieldhouse brewing, this month there is a food drive friendly competition between 9 different local breweries. At the end of the month, they'll weigh the donations to crown the winner. Remember, this all goes to help families in need in Southern Colorado thanks to Care and Share, so support your favorite brewery and be charitable at the same time!
Wednesday:
Nerd Alert!
Fieldhouse Brewing is doing their next Test Tap! This time around is something super crazy, a Nerd Pale ale. Infused with candy, this beer is definitely going to be out there. Head out there to try it, along with a specially paired dish from Treehouse BBQ.
IPA Tapping
Brewer's Republic will be tapping 3 special IPAs at 2pm. Josh has brought in Russian River's Blind Pig, Ballast Point's Sculpin, and Elevation's fresh hop Downpour IPA. If you're in the hop persuasion, make sure to plan a strategic afternoon break...
GSB Trivia
Every Wednesday is Trivia night at Great Storm Brewing with Nikki from Buzzwordz Trivia. It’s also absolutely free, and you can win beer, GSB swag and other prizes. All Things Pita is here 5-8 with fresh Greek food.
Friday
Pumpkin Releases at Smiling Toad
Smiling Toad is releasing their "Blood Moon" pumpkin ale. Their version is one brewed without the usual pie spices seen in almost every other pumpkin beer. The following Wednesday, for the Brew Brothers October meeting, Smiling Toad will tap "Señor Luna" their pumpkin ale aged on chilies in secondary. Both releases come out at 8.6% ABV.
Green Flash on Tap
Brewer's is pumping out another great tapping where they will be tapping the Treasure Chest Barrel Aged Saison with Plums, along with Green Bullet Triple IPA. Start your weekend off right!
