It's an Oktoberfestravaganza this weekend

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know we made up that word, but it looks and sounds great right?!If you couldn't already guess, this weekend there a few awesome Oktoberfest parties going on around Colorado Springs! If you plan things right, you can attend them all...good luck!

Great Storm Brewing • Saturday at 12pm

oktoberfestTo start us off, Great Storm Brewing is hosting their party starting at noon on Saturday with special giveaways happening between 6-9pm. J2K Food truck will be at Great Storm with gourmet burgers, and they'll have prize drawings every hour, with the grand prize being two tickets to the Friday night session of the Great American Beer Festival the following weekend!  Great Storm will also have new beer releases, including: Red Oktober, their fall seasonal, a mashup between an Irish Red and German Oktoberfest, Gdansk Gdansk Revolution, a bay leaf spiced Baltic Porter, Lightning Storm Wheat Wine, a very high gravity wheat ale, and other surprises!

The 18th Annual Layton/Hanss SADS benefit Oktoberfest • Saturday at 4pm

If you'veoktoberfest2015 been around the brewery scene, you most likely have run into Bill and Sally Layton and the Bite Me Sausage food truck at some point. They host one of the coolest Oktoberfest parties I have personally ever been to, and you really should try to go! It's all a big fundraiser for the SADS Foundation (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome) and they ended up raising $17,000 last year! With a silent auction full of cool beer and local items, to the extensive beer selection Bill has every year, it's definitely worth your time!

Oktoberfest in Woodland Park • Saturday at 11am to Sunday at 6pm

oktoberfest-woodlandpark2015 marks the 18th Annual Oktoberfest in Woodland Park, CO. You’ll find fun for the whole family including live music, plenty of authentic German food and drinks, arts & crafts and children activities. Don’t miss the ceremonial keg tapping on Saturday at 11 AM right after the national anthem.
