The Must Attend Beer-centric Halloween Events in Colorado Springs
It's a sad time of year, when tons of mini-Iron Mans and Disney princesses ring your doorbell in hopes of procuring some candy only to find out you're not home.We know where you'll be – at a brewery. Here's five celebrations around town that you definitely need to be at. Show up, rock out your best costume, enjoy some locally brewed suds and make it home safely. Before the big day:
JAKs 1st Annual Children and Adult Halloween Costume Run/Walk/Crawl 5K, Thursday Oct. 29
If you haven't made it out to Peyton to visit JAKs yet, this could be the perfect occasion.Here's the details straight from JAKs' facebook event: We ask that you please drop off some candy at JAKs between today and the 29th. Adults will go out along the course before 6pm and the kids will leave at 6 and collect their goodies along the 5K!!! We are pleased to announce that coffee and hot chocolate will be provided by Vera's Coffee Coach & Espresso Bar and amazing eats by All Things Pita! See you all Thursday!! Aggressive Running for Aggressive Beer Drinkers! Happens every Thursday at 6 pm! Free t-Shirt after your 10th run! This is a FREE event to encourage the community to get out and enjoy life!If you're one of those folks who likes running for fun, you should check it out, or if you're not, head there and cheer everyone on!
Talk Nerdy To Me at Fossil Craft Beer Company, Thursday Oct. 29
This month's guest presenter will be Ryan Johnson, who is a chemistry teacher at Sierra High School. Ryan will be talking about beer gases, and he has promised some awesome demonstrations to go along with his presentation! He might even wear one of his infamous Thursday bow ties to show off his true nerd level! Treehouse BBQ will be there from 5 to 9, and we'll be giving carbon dioxide samples in every pint! Fossil is also planning on releasing Ghostly Mammoth (a ghost chili IPA collaboration with Shelly's Salsa) just in time for Halloween!

Storybook Halloween Party and Costume Contest
These guys are a little under a year old, and they've already earned a place in all of Colorado Springs' beer lovers hearts. With wacky fairy tale-themed beers and cool out-of-the-ordinary events (chain mail making even!), Storybook could be the party to be at this Halloween. Here's the details on their celebration: Be there before 7:30 PM and wear a costume and you'll be automatically entered to win. Storybook will announce the winners at 8 PM. The usual caveats apply, as you must be 21 or older and present at 8 PM to win. One of our favorite food trucks, Potato Potato, will be there serving up an Arrested Development themed menu as well!

Red Leg Brewing's Halloween
At noon Red Leg will tap a firkin of Caramel Apple Brown! Be sure to dress up in your BEST costume as there will be prizes for the winners of their Costume Contest! Judging will be at 8PM!
Great Storm Brewing's Halloween Bash
Join Great Storm on Saturday the 31st for their flavorful fall beer releases, mouth-watering barbecue, spooky decor and a costume contest! They’ll be tapping their highly awaited pumpkin beer for Halloween and this is not your Mom’s pumpkin-pie beer with all the spices and stuff; it’s a one of a kind, NON-spiced, crisp ale made with 100 pounds of pumpkin!12pm -10pm New Beer Releases:
- Pompion Ale, our unspiced golden ale made from nearly 100 lbs. of roasted pumpkins, based on a recipe by Benjamin Franklin.
- Cornicopiale, a light harvest ale made from wheat, butternut squash, sweet potatoes and apples.
- Other surprises, last minute fall ales from our creative brewers.
