Crooked Stave Celebrates Five Years

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project is planning to celebrate its 5-year anniversary with a slew of events and tappings. The brewery is going all out for the 5-year anniversary with 5 days of special tapping’s, limited and rare bottle releases and food pairings from the talented artisans at The Source.Crooked Stave will kick off the 5-day party on January 6th at the breweries taproom – located at 3350 Brighton Blvd – with a local’s release of Vieille Reserva Apricot starting at the Noon opening time. At 5pm the brewery will be hosting an impromptu Mini-Festival with beers from some of their closest friends, including Bells, Arizona Wilderness, Jackie O’s, Perennial, Cantillon, Freemont and possibly a few others.“The Mini-Festival is a way for us to include a few of our friends in the kick-off party to what is shaping up to be a no holds bar week of tappings with rare and limited beers being pulled out of the Brewery Cellar and in some cases my personal cellar,” said Chad Yakobson, Crooked Stave Owner and Brewmaster. “We are very excited to go back and re-visit some beers we haven’t tasted in a few years, as well as getting the entire Crooked Stave family out to the taproom to mingle and celebrate what has been a roller coaster ride over the past 5 years.”The 5 days of events offers Crooked Stave fans and patrons many opportunities to celebrate with the brewery and taste some beers that were previously only released to Cellar Reserve Members or came and went quickly. Examples include tapping the entire Petite Sour line up at open on Thursday, Vintage Beer Lists with Rare Cellar Reserve bottles for on-sight consumption, a final tapping of Batch #1 with commemorative glass, and a few of the WWB Rainbow series beers. That is right, the brewery will tap Batch #1 for the final time. Don’t miss the festivities on Sunday, January 10th, which marks the breweries official 5-year anniversary from the day Chad first brewed Batch#1. Chad will be tapping the last keg in existence with pours into commemorative glass and breaking out at least one complete series of the WWB Rainbow series of beers with a few others available for on-site consumption.  So make sure you make it back from Vail Big Beers in time to catch a pour of the first beer ever brewed at Crooked Stave.Below are the details, as laid out by the Brewery for the 5 days of Anniversary events.
