Alamo Drafthouse Westminster Unboxes Cocktails And Craft Beer With Pandora’s Box

With grand Art Deco style, the Silent Film-themed bar invites guests to step into the splendor of the early twentieth century.

Denver, CO -- (Monday, July 1st, 2019) -- Alamo Drafthouse Westminster proudly announces the opening of Pandora’s Box, a bar and lounge designed for mingling, sipping on quality beverages, and allowing one’s curiosities to let loose. The lounge, which seats 60 guests inside and 40 on an outdoor patio, opens alongside Alamo Drafthouse Westminster on Sunday, June 30th.

Pandora’s Box evokes the 1920s and ‘30s, the golden age of film and is an ideal spot for pre-movie cocktails and post-movie discussions. “Pandora's Box is a tribute to Louise Brooks, the star of Georg  Pabst’s film of the same name, and her amazing peers from the silent era. These actresses inspired both the design of the bar and the cocktail program,” says Tim League, Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO.

Bar Manager Brittany Metheny has developed an exceptional cocktail menu with drinks specially created for Pandora’s Box. A native Texan, Metheny was thrilled to join the Alamo Drafthouse Westminster opening team.

“When I began working for Alamo Drafthouse I’d only lived in Denver a couple of months, so it was comforting to work for a familiar company that had its roots in my home state,” said Metheny. “Six years later, I’m happy to say I feel more at home than ever.”

The bar features roughly 32 beers on tap, with a particular focus on local craft breweries like Ratio Beerworks, Bierstadt Lagerhaus, Holidaily Brewing (a certified Gluten Free brewery), and WeldWerks Brewing. Pandora’s Box also uses the Rack Aeriale and a two-barrel system that enables barrel-aging of select beers to take place on-site. Law’s Whiskey Barrels will be the first used at Pandora’s Box.
