Local Relic Artisan Ales Launches Farm to Fermenter program

Calling all urban farmers, backyard beekeepers, and organic gardeners!

Do you have a blackberry bramble or fruit tree in your yard that only the squirrels love? How about an herb garden filled to the brim with botanicals? The brewers at Local Relic Artisan Ales need your help!

As you may already know, Local Relic strives to source their beer adjuncts as close to home as possible, but with the recent global events it has become harder and harder to get their hands on the ingredients they need. To keep the beers flowing, Local Relic has launched their Farm to Fermenter program that will support small-scale independent growers in our community while also keeping the fun beers alive.

So, how does it work?

Local Relic will buy your local organic produce (at fair market value) and in return you’ll get two free bombers (and social media glory) when the beer is released. It’s a win-win all around.

Here’s what Local Relic needs (per batch):

  • Whole fruits and vegetables (35-40 lbs)

  • Purees and fresh pressed juices (5-10 gallons)

  • Edible flowers and botanicals (8-16 oz)

  • Backyard hops (as much as you'd like to share!)

If you’re interested, email andy@localrelic.com for more info, or speak to a beertender next time you're in their taproom!
