An Ode to Mexican Logger
Despite any snow Mother Nature throws our way in March and April — the days are getting longer and Spring is on its way! For me, nothing signifies that more than Ska Brewing releasing Mexican Logger. For the past 23 years, Ska has been brewing Mexican Logger and we couldn’t be more thankful they have.
During numerous years in Durango attending Fort Lewis College, I found myself drawn to Mexican Logger, not just for the clean, crisp, crushable nature, but more so it was the signal that our little mountain town was escaping out of the doldrums of winter—river floats, dusty singletrack and backyard barbecues would soon be a reality. All with copious amounts of Mexican Logger of course.
I truly feel it’s the perfect patio beer, lawn mowing beer, river rafting beer, hike the incline beer, barleywine palate cleanser beer, mountain biking beer, board game beer and any other activity where a slick lime green can would look good in your hand beer. You can’t go wrong.
So on Thursday, March 31st, Ska will release Mexican Logger at their World Headquarters with Durango local band The Lawn Chair Kings at 5pm, and you can find it wherever you buy Ska beer soon after!
For those of you who prefer the dark-hued version of Mexican Logger—stock up now—it’s heading into hibernation until autumn, but I’m still hoping(dreaming?) for a return of Tart Mexican Logger at some point down the road…pretty please Ska-Gods?
